Yale Cordage hires new Sales Regional Account Manager for Southeast Region
Brings a high level of expertise to specialty, industrial, and utility accounts
SACO, Maine — April 2, 2015 — Yale Cordage, a custom and specialty rope manufacturer based in Saco, Maine and Salisbury, North Carolina, has hired Sam Cooper to serve the company’s industrial, specialty and utility accounts throughout the Southeast.
Cooper joins Yale after most recently serving as Director of Supply Chain for a leading utility equipment manufacturer in Tennessee. In his prior role, Cooper gained customer-level insight into how Yale’s ropes are best designed and used, particularly in the electrical utility space. Throughout his career, Cooper has held leadership positions in supply chain, sales and finance, making him a helpful resource and informed partner for purchasing managers, fleet managers, and others responsible for procuring and maintaining industrial equipment.
At Yale, Cooper plans to focus on helping companies improve their safety and efficiency, two areas where he believes Yale Cordage products can play a large role.
“As an industry leader and innovator, Yale Cordage is light years ahead, especially as it relates to the Uniline and Unitrex products for stringing and pulling applications,” said Cooper. “Not only are these products safer to use than wire, but they also deliver a strength-to-weight ratio that enables linemen to work faster and with greater precision. And their long-term durability ultimately lowers a company’s replacement costs.”
Based out of Chattanooga, Cooper will work with current and potential Yale Cordage customers from Virginia to Florida and Tennessee to Texas.
“We’re thrilled to bring Sam Cooper on to represent Yale Cordage in the South,” said Bill Putnam, President. “His deep knowledge of the industries and companies we serve will make it even easier for our customers to source high-quality cordage and implement it in a way that benefits their business on multiple levels.”
Originally from Chattanooga, Cooper earned his Bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University and his MBA from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Additionally, he received executive education certification in Supply Chain Management from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and was a member of the inaugural Heil Leadership Institute. He can be reached at 207-205-3045 or scooper@yalecordage.com.
