Edwards Introduces Genesis LED Outdoor Notification Appliances and New EST4 Functionality at NFPA Expo

Brand celebrates its 150th anniversary

Edwards, a global leader in the fire and life safety industry, today introduced the newest addition to its GenesisTM LED notification portfolio, outdoor notification appliances. Designed specifically for extreme weather performance, the Genesis LED outdoor appliances are engineered to withstand highpressure water spray, rain, sleet and snow while maintaining their horn, strobe and speaker
functionalities. Edwards is part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), the leading global provider of healthy, safe, sustainable, and intelligent building and cold chain solutions.

Edwards announced the new outdoor notification appliances from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Conference and Expo taking place in Boston June 69. Edwards is sharing its latest solutions for safe and healthy buildings while celebrating the brand’s 150th anniversary. Edwards also introduced new features to EST4, its premier fire and emergency communications system. The additional functionality adds increased system capacity, flexibility, and integration with Lenel S2’s OnGuard platform, all while enhancing cybersecurity protections.

“It is critical that emergency notification systems integrate seamlessly with adjacent systems and perform flawlessly in adverse conditions, and Genesis LED outdoor appliances and the new capabilities of EST4 deliver on those priorities to ensure emergency messaging reaches everyone at risk,” said Faiz Afzal, Managing Director, Edwards. “The solutions we offer as part of Carrier’s focus on healthy and safe buildings are a natural evolution of the work started by Edwards a century and a half ago, and our innovations in digital technologies, remote access, and cybersecurity have
been and will continue to be instrumental in creating an even safer world.”
