This new plug-in integrates 3D Revit designs with detailed construction costs directly with ConEst’s IntelliBid estimating software. “3D construction models can now easily be compared to estimated budgets”, says Ed Coffin, Chief Technology Advisor for ConEst. “If construction designs are over budget, contractors can make adjustments to the model prior to construction rather than wasting valuable time and money on the jobsite”.  Coffin goes on to say ” This exciting new link will make the workflow more consistent providing better control of a contractor’s projects, profits and growth.”

Design build project teams requiring engineering, estimating and 3D modeling can now be a one-person operation. The GTP-IntelliBid plug-in further evolves BIM for electrical contractors by detailing bills of material and labor hours for any installation including prefabrication spooling and change order management, providing an effective and efficient solution between pre-construction and construction.
