A Comprehensive View of Renewable Energy Installations Through the Lens of the Electrical Cycle of Safety
Renewable energy components, such as solar photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage systems (ESS), are being used around the world within businesses and communities to help meet continually growing power supply demands. But when they are not installed and maintained properly, these systems not only fail to provide reliable electrical power but can also put community safety at risk. Please join us on July 29 for a comprehensive discussion around the installation, maintenance, and reliability of renewable energy applications.
The webinar hosts, Corey Hannahs and Dean Austin, are both senior electrical content specialists with the National Fire Protection Association® (NFPA®). They will highlight renewable energy installations through the lens of the NFPA Electrical Cycle of Safety™ (ECoS™), which incorporates NFPA 70®, National Electrical Code® (NEC®), NFPA 70B, Standard for Electrical Equipment Maintenance, and NFPA 70E®, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace®. The ECoS provides a comprehensive approach to electrical safety that can help keep workers safe and businesses operational by avoiding workplace injuries, equipment downtime, and costly citations.
Pete Jackson, chief electrical inspector for the city of Bakersfield, California, will also be joining the webinar. Pete will provide valuable, real-world insight into his experience in approving the design and installation of large commercial and utility-scale renewable energy systems, as his jurisdiction has a significant number of current installations, and that number continues to grow.
We look forward to you joining us on Tuesday, July 29.
