SEPCO™ Introduces SolarASL LED: Self-Powered, Outdoor Site/Area/Security or Roadway Lighting
New Product Introduction: SEPCO’s solar power systems are used along Hubbell’s ASL fixture to create the SEPCO SolarASL – solar powered, pole mounted LED area, parking lot, security and roadway lights. SolarASL provides ultra-long-lasting, white light specifically where needed — and is 100% solar-powered, “off the grid,” self-storing and self-recharging, to boot!.
Product Design: SEPCO,™ the Solar Electric Power Company, In-House Solar-Lighting Product Development and Engineering Team.
Manufacturer: SEPCO™, founded 1994, is a U.S. entrepreneurial family-owned manufacturer exclusively of luminaires, solar lighting and solar-power systems for “off grid” outdoor lighting.
Product Applications: One SEPCO™ SolarASL replaces up to a 250-watt metal halide luminaires in site and area applications for college campuses, stadium/ arenas, amusement parks, and municipal areas; road or security lighting for stores, banks, restaurants, commercial enterprises, and multi-use buildings in area’s typically cost-prohibitive for electrical power feeds. SEPCO™ SolarASL LED delivers optical performance that matches commercial grid lighting — in a stand-alone solar system.
SEPCO™ SolarASL is paired with a solar power system ranging from as little as 30 up to 550 off-grid solar-power watts, with a minimum of five nights autonomy from stored power. SEPCO™ solar-power assemblies are integral to the light and pole, sized according to customer requirements, installation location or site conditions.
Product Description: SEPCO™ SolarASL has a compact sleek, curved aerodynamic light head that comes complete with LEDs and the driver used to operate the fixtures from its solar-charged batteries.
Compact solar-panel assemblies for SEPCO™ SolarASL are selected and programed by SEPCO™ in-house solar-lighting engineers to recharge concealed storage-battery assemblies, customizing SolarASL illumination to location and use.
Construction and Finishes: SEPCO™ SolarASL housings and doors are precision-tooled die-cast aluminum. Polyester powder-coated finishes include Black, Dark Bronze, Gray, Silver and White.
Each SolarASL LED has an individual optical lens and produces from 15 to 55 watts with IES Type II, III, IV, V distribution patterns, that are field exchangeable and rotatable in 90° increments for job-site fine-tuning. Higher wattages are readily available in the larger unit. For ocean shore areas, SEPCO™ turtle-friendly lighting is also available.
SolarASL is offered with a long elliptical arm side-of-pole-bracket ranging from 4- to 8-feet or a short side-of-pole tenon bracket ranging from 5- to 24-inches that mounts directly to any round or square pole. Tool-less entry provides easy installation and low maintenance costs.
A range of SEPCO™ SolarASL light-pole options are available in accordance with power-assembly size, wind-load requirements, and with direct burial, anchor- or transformer-base options. Poles available in aluminum, composite fiberglass or galvanized steel.
Individual LED dimming drivers are sealed to IP66 or IP67 standards. SEPCO™ SolarASL is CSA certified for wet locations, employs UL recognized components, and is made in the USA.
