NFPA 2112 SEI Certified complete Gas Extraction System (GES)

Thinking that all or most flash fires last 3 seconds or less is a common myth!  Current industry standards allow up to a 42% body burn which can incur serious or fatal injuries. Silver Needle Inc® currently has the only NFPA 2112 SEI Certified complete Gas Extraction System (GES) in the industry that features our patented Internal Extraction Harness and optional Kevlar® retrieval lanyard  (Pat #US 9, 055,722 B2).  Our DuPont™ Nomex® Quilted Gas Extraction System greatly exceeds the current NFPA 2112 standard.  Silver Needle has been testing different fabrics for over 15 years in order to find the best fabric combinations for comfort and with the best results.  Repeated controlled laboratory testing of 10 seconds with our latest quilted fabric had a predicted burn injury of 0% 3rd degree burn and a 4% second degree burn.  Our garment also meets the minimum requirement of performance according to ASTM F1506-20A with an Arc Rating (ATPV) of 60 cal/cm².

Our system is not only safe, but comfortable.  Our newest design offers Superior Freedom of Movement while wicking away moisture and drying up to 25% faster than other thermal liners.
