Malta Dynamics offers new sternal D-Ring Harnesses

Malta Dynamics is proud to introduce its versatile Razorback Elite and Razorback Elite Maxx sternal D-Ring harnesses. These climbing safety harnesses include a sternal (front) D-Ring for front tie-off for climbing, in addition to a back D-Ring for overhead fall protection and a pair of side positioning D-Rings at the hips.

A climbing safety harness that includes a sternal D-Ring for front tie-off is a key component of personal fall arrest systems that helps prevent injuries and fatalities. It is designed for applications such as fixed ladders and tower construction where climbing is common. New OSHA regulations that became effective in 2018 require a ladder safety or personal fall protection system on all new fixed ladders of 24 feet or taller, according to OSHA.

Both versions of the Razorback Elite reportedly meet or exceed the fall protection and testing standards laid out in ANSI Z359.11-2014, OSHA 1926 Subpart M, and OSHA 1910. The units have a maximum worker weight capacity of 310 pounds. For added safety, the harnesses included reflective stitching for improved visibility and built-in rescue handles for fall recovery. Razorback Elite harnesses include a lightweight design and com equipped with breathable padding for maximum comfort.

“We believe we’re offering one of the most versatile safety harnesses on the market because we want to give our customers a harness that they can use every day at any jobsite,” said Damian Lang, owner and CEO, Malta Dynamics. “With D-Rings on the front, back, and sides, we’re confident our customers will find our new harnesses to be versatile, comfortable, and tough enough to handle the rigors of everyday use.”
