Enespro PPE Introduces 12 Cal Vented Lift-Front Shroud
Enespro PPE, manufacturer of innovative, USA-made electrical personal protective equipment (PPE) has today announced a new 12 Cal shroud face & head protection option for NFPA 70E CAT 2 environments.
The new Enespro OptiShield™ Vented Lift-Front Shroud eliminates the need for a balaclava (aka “sock hood”). It’s also lined with FR 2.0 antimicrobial fabric that kills germs and controls odor making it a much more hygienic option compared to balaclavas. In addition, the easy lift-front face shield quickly opens to provide access to fresh air, along with multiple vents which improve air-flow, sound, and communication. The OptiShield™ clear grey tint provides excellent color recognition and visibility, while the toric lens reduces glare.
“After hearing countless complaints about balaclavas, we decided to create a product that eliminates the need to wear them,” said Mike Enright, CEO at Enespro PPE. A balaclava or shroud is required to be worn with a hard hat & face shield for NFPA 70E CAT 2 tasks. However, many workers avoid wearing balaclavas because they’re so uncomfortable and they often carry a foul odor from previous uses. This new 12 cal shroud option will help safety professionals solve this problem and encourage safety compliance because it’s a much more comfortable and hygienic solution. It’s also attached the hard hat & face shield allowing it to stay together as one unit.
Enespro PPE OptiShield™ Vented Lift-Front Shrouds can be ordered individually or as part of a complete PPE kit. View these and other electrical safety products, browse news and insights, and get to know more about Enespro at EnesproPPE.com.
