CBS ArcSafe® Introduces RSA-265B for Eaton Series NRX Circuit Breakers

CBS ArcSafe®, a leading manufacturer of remote racking and switching solutions for low- and medium-voltage switchgear, introduces the RSA-265B remote switch actuator. The device allows technicians to remotely operate Eaton Series NRX circuit breakers from outside the arc-flash boundary (up to 300 feet away).

Remote switch actuators are a cost-effective solution for increasing worker safety. Installation and operation of the RSA-265B does not require any modifications to existing electrical equipment thanks to CBS ArcSafe’s switchable magnets that attach on and detach from switchgear quickly and easily.

The RSA-265B is compatible with the RF Frame (1600-3200 A) configurations of Eaton Series NRX circuit breakers. Typical industries for Series NRX circuit breakers include power generation, chiller/HVAC, petrochemical, water/waste treatment, pulp/paper, data centers, and distribution facilities.

The device’s light weight (25.35 lbs.) makes it portable and easy to install and remove from switchgear in hard-to-access areas. The control/power source is the CBS ArcSafe RSO-III D control console.
