Brother Announces New P-touch EDGE® Industrial Label Printer with Mobile App for Wireless Jobsite Label Printing
Smart, portable and affordable, the P-touch EDGE® PT P750WVP with mobile app enables fast jobsite labeling from iOS and Android smartphones and tablets
Broomfield, CO, (EMBARGOED) September 15, 2015 – Brother Mobile Solutions, Inc. (BMS), a premier provider of mobile wireless printers and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Brother International Corporation, announces the upcoming launch of its new P-touch EDGE® PT-P750WVP industrial label printer at the BICSI Fall Conference in Las Vegas, September 20-24.
The newest addition to the popular P-touch EDGE family of industrial labeling tools, this compact datacom and cable label printer fills a common productivity gap by enabling quick, onsite labeling from an app that turns a mobile phone or tablet into a powerful label design and print solution.
According to Duane Yamashita, Sr. Product Manager for Brother P-touch EDGE industrial labeling brand, “the goal is to help system designers and their contractor / installer partners bridge the gap between the development location where the project is designed and the jobsite where actual installation is performed.”
“The new EDGE PT-P750WVP was designed to align with common datacom, labeling configurations,” he explains. “This allows for ‘as-built’ documentation and professional labeling of all components ‒ including wires, cables, patch panels, termination points, faceplates, racks, cabinets, and more. Using easy built-in templates, installation crews can print industry standard labels right from their smart devices, quickly and easily.”
Craig Robinson, RCDD and datacom industry specialist for Brother Mobile Solutions, adds: “Following best practices in cabling system installation requires a high degree of precision – and the ability to make on-site, real-time labels or modifications to labels is key to project efficiency. This solution brings true mobile functionality to the jobsite at a price-point that puts it within reach of every contractor.”
The P750WVP model is compatible with Brother’s comprehensive lines of HGe and TZe tapes, which offer adhesive and color options for a variety of cable and industrial labeling applications. Tapes are available in a range of sizes, including labels up to 24mm wide, for conformance with both short and long ANSI/TIA/EIA-606B identifier formats. Easy drop-in cartridges make media change-outs and tape replacement simple and hassle-free.
Smart technology makes high-volume label printing fast and easy
The P-touch EDGE PT-P750WVP printer expands Brother’s growing line of smart printing solutions and comes complete with Li-ion rechargeable battery, AC adapter, USB cable, tape and Brother’s exclusive 2-year exchange warranty.* It integrates smart software and applications that allow installers to print labels quickly and easily right onsite, right from their mobile device. Multi-platform functionality enables wireless printing from Apple®, Android™ and Windows® devices, including smartphones, tablets and mini tablets. It comes with NFC assisted built-in Wi-Fi connectivity to make printing labels as simple as to touch, type and print.
